*HRS Summer Hunt Seat Camp

Camp is Here!

We are proud to announce our *Summer Hunt Seat Camp!*

We will be hosting the camp from Monday July 27th, through Friday July 31st. Campers must be 8 or older and must have their own horse to bring and ride at camp. We will start on Monday with an introductory to Hunt Seat Riding. As the day's progress, campers will be learning everything from Jumping Position, to riding over cavaletti and doing jumping grids. On the fourth day campers will be learning how to ride jump courses, which brings us to our Jumping Show on Friday the 31st. Lessons will start at 8:00am each morning. Campers will get lots of great instruction from our CHA Certified Instructor. All campers must participate in each of the lessons from 8:00 to 12:00 on Mon-Thurs, to be able to participate in the Jumping Show on Friday. Campers must wear an ASTM/SEI approved Helmet at all times while on a horse and must wear boots with a heel. Get enrolled quickly, there are only a few spots available and they will fill up fast! Camp Prices: 

You can pay however you like, but money must be in hand before the starting time at 8:00 am each morning. Remember that to be able to participate in the Jumping Show on Friday, you must ride in the four lessons Monday - Thursday. 

Camp Price per day: $45per rider

Camp Price for Monday - Friday: $225

Family discounts are available for families bringing more than 1 rider. Please call or text to find discount.

HRS Lessons and Prices

Hedgebrook Riding School offers a great lesson program, taught by a CHA Certified Instructor. We see that all our students learn in each lesson, how to catch, groom, tack and untack, as well as ride, while learning safety is our #1 goal. We see that all our riders are paired with well mannered and well trained school horses. We also make sure that our riders have fun in each lesson, while learning new skills each time! We teach in multiple disciplines such as Western, Western Dressage, Hunters up to 2 foot, while Classical Dressage is the base of our training.

        We bring each of our students through our CHA program, where they not only learn riding, but also the care and management that is involved with taking care of our equine partners. Our students not only get to participate in a weekly lesson, but also in the barns days, camps, shows, Ride-a-test and Class Room Lessons that we host, here at the barn.

HRS Boarding and Services

*Full Board-Includes stall with run. 13% feed, fed twice a day and your choice of Prairie Hay or Burmuda Hay with a min. of 2 flecks and max of 4 flecks of a square bale, fed twice a day. $480/per month.


*All horses have access to unlimited, fresh, clean water and salt with trace minerals.

All boarders have access to indoor and outdoor riding arenas, wash rack with hot and cold water, tack room with individual spaces, etc. boarders are welcome to use our washer and dryer for a small fee, bring your own laundry soap. Our barn has boarder bathrooms and mop sinks as well for convince to our boarders. Boarders are welcome at the barn anytime, we just ask that boarders keep things the way they find them!
We ask that our boarders be responsible for administrating any medicine or other needs that your horse may need. We also ask that owners be here when the farrier, chiropractor or vet is scheduled, to catch and pay for your horses needs. If you cannot be here, just contact us, for a $20 fee, we will have your horse taken care of.
It is the responsibility of the owner to make sure blankets are taken off and on in summer/winter as well as fly mask.

*Our farrier makes multiple trips to the barn, so as to make sure everyone is kept UTD on trims and shoes.
*Our vet also comes and makes a large farm call to draw blood for coggins and vaccinations, etc.
*All our boarders get a $5 discount for private lessons, as well.

Bibles and Bridles

Check out our newest group lesson program "Bibles and Bridles!" These lessons are held from 5:30 to 7:00 on the four fridays in February. Students will have fun grooming horses, riding bareback, along with doing a new devotion each week and eating pizza. Students will learn a new bible verse each week and we will send home sheets on what they learn each week. We will also play a fun game each night. Students will just need to bring $5 to help with cost each week. More info below. RSVP at 417-317-2724 as soon as possible, so I know how much supplies is needed. All ages welcome. Students are welcome to bring their own Bibles. Students will need to dress very warmly. Riding will take place in our indoor riding ring and devotions and games will take place in the shop. The big door will be closed and we will have heaters going, so it will be warm. So excited to give this a go:) Happy New Year everyone!!!
